Village Lutheran Church is located in the Village of Bronxville in the Town of Eastchester in the county of Westchester in the State of New York. Village Lutheran Church is a member congregation of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) and is a progressive, confessional Lutheran Church drawing her membership from Lutheran, other protestant and former Roman Catholic Christians as well as non-Christian seekers from the southern Connecticut, Bronx, upper Manhattan and Westchester communities. Village Lutheran Church features an anticipatory Divine Service (mass) on Saturdays at 5:30 PM and two Divine Services (masses) on Sunday at 9 and 10:45 AM. Sunday School is held at the 9:oo AM Service. A Service of Prayer for Healing with the anointing of oil is held on the last Saturday of each month at 6:30 PM and the Good News Christian Coffee House with live Christian music is held on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 7:00 PM. Each summer Village Lutheran Church features a Vacation Bible School and offers Confirmation Instruction for youth in grades 7 and 8 and Early First Communion for those in 5th grade and older. Village Lutheran Church features an onsite Columbarium for the interment of cremains. This Columbarium is open to church and school families and to community members . Village Lutheran Church is known for a varied music program for all ages including a contemporary choir (Faith walk), the Chancel Choir, the Youth Choir, The Teen Choir, The Cherub Choir, the Brass Ensemble and the Village Belles (handbell choir). Village Lutheran Church’s Senior Pastor is the Rev. Dr. Robert Hartwell and the Associate/Campus Pastor is Rev. Roy Minnix. Our Minister of Music is Deb Reiss and our Cantor is George Heath. Erica Schultz and Kate Porter lead the youth. Village Lutheran Church is proud to work collaborative with the Atlantic District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, the Lutheran Counseling Center, the Wartburg, Mt. Vernon, the Lutheran Care Network, Concordia College-New York, The Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF), Lutheran Social Services in New York, The Counseling Center of Bronxville, The BIC, Bronxville Eastchester and Tuckahoe Interfaith Counsel and the Town of Eastchester Holocaust Commemoration Committee, the LCMS Foundation, The Bereavement Center of Westchester and the Tree house Program, Alcoholics Anonymous.


Village Lutheran Church owns and operates The Chapel School, a private Christian day school for pre-school 3 and 4 year olds, full-day kindergarten, and an elementary and middle school of excellence. The Chapel School features an active athletics program, including a premier basketball program, afterschool programs for all interests and a diverse summer camp program for children. The Chapel School is led with the guidance of Principal James Dhyne, Assistant Principal Michael Schultz and Preschool Director Michelle Tween. The Chapel School is fully accredited by Middle States and National Lutheran Schools Association.
